We're looking for a seasoned manager to lead a team of Engineering Program Managers responsible for shipping new features for our AI/ML domain. You are just as comfortable with leading people as you are with working on engineering projects to ship complex, customer-facing products under demanding timelines. This is a hands-on position where you will be involved in requirements analysis, functional and technical design discussions, testing, proof-of-concept, working with partners, and more. This is not a task-based job; you will be responsible for successful outcomes and delivery. Strong fundamentals are a requirement but you have to have more. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Program or technical project management in software development is required Strong technical proficiency – Search and Recommendations experience is a huge plus 2+ years of people management experience, ideally working with global teams 5+ years of program management, including experience taking features through the complete software development life cycle Built global products by collaborating across Product, Engineering, Data Sciences, Analytics, Design and other key partners Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and logical structuring abilities Ability to turn incomplete, conflicting, or ambiguous input into solid action plans Consistent track record of shipping complex customer-facing and backend engineering projects under demanding timelines Deep knowledge of A/B testing Strong facilitation skills (requirements sessions, design meetings, progress and status meetings) Best-in-class communication and presentation skills (written & verbal) to all levels of an organization Description Description - Drive and ship large, multi-functional programs and feature areas - Lead all aspects of multiple concurrent features including scope, requirements, timelines, and prioritization - Day-to-day will include program managing, execution, risk assessments, in order to meet the overall program goals - Foster collaboration across a broad team of cross-functional partners to formulate roadmap and manage intake pipeline - Play an active role in improving how features are built and executed in the Apple Services Engineering organization - Help set the strategy and communicate status and issues to stakeholders at all levels - Collaborate with Design, Engineering, Data Science, QA, Legal, Finance, Privacy, Anti-Fraud, Business Operations and other organizations to develop and improve Apple Services Engineering’s suite of features Education & Experience Education & Experience BS/BA Degree and/or MBA preferred Additional Requirements Additional Requirements Pay & Benefits Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $166,400 and $289,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
