We are seeking an expert program management leader who is passionate about building impactful teams to meet our Apple Information Security objectives. The manager of program management will be leading a team of technical program managers who work on high-impact security programs with touch points across the entire company. The manager will provide strategic and tactical guidance focused on driving delivery, performing validation and verifying the success of our projects. The team has grown spectacularly over the last 2 years and now balances many cross functional projects that are intertwined across multiple teams. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications 8+ years of professional experience in information security and/or successfully carrying out portfolio, program and project management functions in a leadership role 5+ years of people management experience leading a team in a highly collaborative, cross functional environment Distinctive communication skills with a proven track record of inspiring change, influencing (especially at a higher level) and partner management Validated ability to organize and lead diverse, highly complex projects/programs and ensure effective collaboration and communication across business and technology partners Extraordinary communication and negotiation skills in all mediums and throughout all levels of the organization (e.g., clear and compelling “story”, with accurate insights and well thought out recommendations) Strong problem solving abilities in both ambiguous and tactical situations A teammate and change champion with a bias for action (validated experience of leading others to think and act differently according to business needs) Forward thinking to look around the corner and see what is coming Demonstrated dedication to excellence, high quality standards, and attention to detail Ability to resolve challenges smoothly and without formal authority Description Description In this role, you will lead and develop a team of program management professionals by bringing standard processes, driving critical thinking, and guiding teams to search for non-standard solutions to sophisticated challenges. PROGRAM MANAGEMENT • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of the planning, prioritization and execution of programs • Be the bridge between the PMO, functional leads and business partners • Define and track success measures to ensure alignment with intended outcomes PROJECT EXECUTION • Drive cross functional project teams in project structuring, timeline development, and execution • Ensure all projects are delivered on-time, on-budget, and on-strategy • Ensures that business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current projects, and initiatives • Facilitate decision-making, arbitrate impasses, remove barriers when needed to drive project progress through complexity and timelines PROCESS LEADERSHIP AND IMPROVEMENT • Run continuous process improvement and lead organizational change initiatives from design to adoption of our program management practices • Consult with business partners, leadership, team members, or other key collaborators to evaluate and apply suggestions for improving efficiency and cost-effectiveness • Develop and maintain lessons-learned inputs for utilization on future projects • Develop and maintain a PMO governance structure for the entry, tracking, and reporting of all projects and programs • Instills lessons learned practices on projects, and ensures learnings are communicated across AIS to ensure a culture of continuous learning PEOPLE AND TEAM LEADERSHIP/DEVELOPMENT • Develop talent in the PMO to increase effectiveness, build diversity, and improve bench strength • Mentors, guide, and sponsor the development of key talent Education & Experience Education & Experience Bachelor/ Master Degree or equivalent work experience Additional Requirements Additional Requirements Pay & Benefits Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $157,900 and $274,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
