This includes deciding what books and manga to feature every day, editing the content management system, and creating editorial selections and collections. This position will be measured by the ability to establish credible editorial voices for Apple Books in Japan, and present content offerings that generate great customer experiences. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Rich product, market, and culture knowledge related with content industries in Japan. Minimum of 3 years experience and knowledge in book and/or manga editorial, retail, marketing, publishing, and/or any other related field(s) is a requirement. Native level in Japanese and firm ability to communicate in English. Collaboration and communication skills to exercise cross-functional initiatives. Self-motivated, driven with innovative mind-set furnished with a high standard of excellence. Description Description Essential to this position is to work with cross-functional teams in Japan as well as the global team to feature upcoming key titles, deep catalogue, editorial collections. This person will work to create new measures for customers discovering books and manga, and also need to possess an ability to find the best quality titles scheduled to be released. Strong passion for books and manga plus related content culture is essential. This position is a full-time employee at Apple. Responsibilities include: Creating and maintaining editorial plan of Book Store and Manga Store in Japan Building editorial strategies and deciding editorial priorities, taking product release info, demographic targeting, current trends, inclusion & diversities, partner promotions, and sponsorship opportunities into account Developing new strategies for book/manga/author discovery Finding, reviewing and defining great new books and manga to refresh the store on day-date basis Coordinating weekly editorial features with design/localization/production Programming weekly featured content in internal CMS Writing talking points of promotional texts with editorial quality for featured books Managing project-based initiatives Education & Experience Education & Experience Additional Requirements Additional Requirements
