We are looking for a technical leader who is passionate both about natural languages and international customer expectations. The ideal candidate is someone who is motivated to advocate for solutions that improve the product experience for customers who speak/type in a wide variety of languages and use devices in a wide range of locales! Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Experience or interest in keyboard/text input concepts across different languages, such as auto correction, composition, and transliteration Experience or interest in software internationalization or localization Deep understanding of algorithms, data structures and coding standards Understanding or interest in Asian languages, including Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, Thai Familiar with various QA & testing approaches, with a strong focus on high-quality software Experience in developing for Apple’s platforms in Objective-C and/or Swift Motivated to improve Apple’s products Description Description IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL: - Manage a team of developers working text input related projects to implement features that enable typing and internationalization on all of Apple’s platforms. - Collaborate with Design, Engineering, & Marketing to solve both design and engineering challenges and ensure that the next generation of experiences can reach all Apple customers. - Contribute to the wider internationalization community outside of Apple such as the open-source ICU, CLDR, and other Unicode-related projects. - Build and grow a strong and diverse team, promote healthy team culture, drive process improvements, and support career growth of team members Education & Experience Education & Experience BS or MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field Additional Requirements Additional Requirements Pay & Benefits Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $183,400 and $275,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
