Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related field. 1 year of experience with each of the following skills is required: Statistics and Data Analysis Design of Experiments (DOE) Sensor Technology or Measurement Process optimization for manufacturing equipment Knowledge of product design decisions Collecting and analyzing information to drive process/product design modifications to eliminate system malfunctions encountered during product development lifecycle Root Cause Analysis Product development Metrology development Geometry dimensioning and tolerancing interpretation skill Description Description Multiple positions available in Cupertino, California. Design and development from inception through ramp for a next generation Apple product. Develop measurement technologies, control strategies, information systems, and manufacturing methods that achieve ambitious specifications at massive production scale. Compile and evaluate data to determine appropriate limits and variables for process and part specifications. Interface with internal and external groups to ensure that proper definition of quality expectations and that appropriate assurance techniques are used for the product. Coordinate all Quality Engineering functions for a program, serving as project manager to lead efforts at supplier locations. Drive corrective actions cross-functionally with internal and external team members. Partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate design and processes at the concept phase. Lead activities to balance unparalleled quality with scalable yields, and evaluate yields of new and existing processes. Establish audit procedures appropriate to program and supplier to ensure adherence to Apple quality standards. International travel required 30%. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $148200 - $223100/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
