Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. Experience and/or education must include: Digital Signal Processing Digital and Wireless Communications Object oriented programming, C, or C++ Python, or Matlab Debug of C code Lab equipment: spectrum analyzer, logic analyzer, and filters Description Description Multiple positions available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Design and develop state-of-the-art wireless communication algorithms. Design and simulate state-of-the-art physical layer wireless communication algorithms. Implement fixed-point models and perform detailed performance investigation to allow performance sign-off and enable RTL bit-exact development. Work with digital designers to realize wireless algorithms with power and area efficient digital implementations. Characterize and optimize performance of real silicon in lab. Develop and implement calibration routines compensating for RF impairments. Bring up and debug various hardware features in the physical layer. Implement code in Python and firmware including firmware algorithms involving MAC-PHY interaction. Develop test plans and work with automation and test engineers to implement the same. Analyze test results to identify and debug issue. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $145,288 - $208,300/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
