We are part of Intelligence Platform team which has a footprint in many applications that you use daily, like Shortcuts, Search, Home and many more. We use groundbreaking, state of the art advances in machine learning and bring them to users by building on-device ML platforms. By joining us your innovative ideas will impact millions of users worldwide and you will contribute to Apple’s magic Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Strong background in computer science, algorithms, data structures, and software design Proficiency in one coding language preferably python, C++, Java Excellent knowledge in machine learning and experience in major machine learning algorithms, including deep learning Comfortable in converting research ideas to production ready code Experience in training/evaluating ML models with proper pipelines and metrics Familiarity with machine learning tooling, libraries and frameworks like pyTorch Practical understanding of NLP, clustering and embedding concepts Familiarity with Large Language Models and Generative AI Description Description We are a team of ML researchers and ML software engineers that collaborate with many teams internally at Apple. We build AI platforms and solutions which empowers many teams like Siri, Photos, Music and many more. We rely strongly on prototyping recent innovations in related AI/ML fields. These prototypes will eventually shape our products and you will be contributing to system design and features. For this role we are looking for someone to join our core ML team. Your main focus will be developing ML solutions and implementing proper pipelines for serving them to clients. By joining our team, you will get the chance to work with senior, talented Apple engineers and researchers while collaborating with other product teams internally. To succeed in this role, you need to be a software engineer with solid programming skills who also knows ML fundamentals very well. You should have productized ML solutions in the past and can iterate on ML models to improve quality metrics. You should enjoy staying up to date and learning the new advances in the field. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $138,900 and $256,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
