Key Qualifications Key Qualifications 10+ years of professional software engineering experience with advanced programming skills in C++, Objective C, or Swift 5+ years managing engineering teams that design complex software engineering projects Demonstrable experience leading cross-functional projects which have had a tangible impact on the direction of the org Strong organizational skills and experience working on large multi-functional teams Strong Computer Science fundamentals, object-oriented programming, and design skills Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills Description Description The Siri team is looking for an exceptional engineering manager to help build the next generation of the Siri Platform. This is a rare and unique opportunity to define the strategy and roadmap for the Siri Runtime from the ground up. The manager will also influence and define innovative experiences for our upcoming products. The role requires someone with deep experience building and driving platform engineering teams. The ideal candidate should possess the requisite background and a strong enthusiasm for leading teams that build system-level software for resource-constrained devices. This leader will be accountable for driving essential client-side components of the Siri platform and will inherit a team of senior engineers. The candidate must have a proven track record of building strong cohesive teams from initial hires to shipping multiple products. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES - Lead the design and development of core client-side components of the Siri platform. These components will form the backbone of Siri on all devices where Siri is supported. - Manage a highly talented team of software engineers and managers - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to capture requirements, understand dependencies, define architecture, and implement solutions to well-defined projects Education & Experience Education & Experience BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $200,300 and $346,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
