The MSO is looking for an extraordinary Back End Engineer with a background in large scale engineering projects. You will enjoy building services that Data Science and Application developers will leverage to shape outstanding experiences for our employees and customers. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications 5+ years of proven experience crafting and implementing modular, composable services, using state-of-the-art technology stacks 2+ years working on highly available, high-volume, low latency services at scale 2+ years experience with AWS w/ container services (specifically with k8s) Go, Java or Kotlin experience is ideal Experience with software development tools on Linux Description Description As a Back End Engineer, you are ready to tackle big problems, enjoy working in an agile and multifaceted multi-functional team, love data, and want to make a huge impact in health. Some of your characteristics include:
• Experience building highly available and fault tolerant systems
• Proven track record of shipping services in production environments for consumer facing products
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Experience handling performance, application and security log management
• Strong coding experience and capable of picking up new languages
• Outstanding analytical thinking to solve challenging problems Education & Experience Education & Experience BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, or equivalent experience Additional Requirements Additional Requirements • Partners well in and across teams • Works well in a self-directed environment • Comfortable with weekly on-call rotation • Nice to have experience handling Pen Testing and Secure Applications Pay & Benefits Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $170,700 and $256,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
