Apple's Retail Analytics team is looking for a dedicated technical product manager who is passionate about crafting, implementing, and supporting production machine learning solutions that directly and measurably impact Apple's Retail Store customers.
Apple has a tremendous amount of data, and we have just scratched the surface in pattern detection, anomaly detection, predictive modeling, and optimization across stores. In this position, you will help drive strategy and development of our Retail Store machine learning solutions and lead strategic projects on a fast-paced team impacting all parts of Apple's ecosystem. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications 3+ years of program management experience Data science or machine learning experience a plus Clear understanding of a Retail Store ecosystem Experience leading successful, high-impact technical projects Strong interpersonal skills with ability to connect with individuals at all levels and develop partnerships Proven ability to inspire change through positive influence of co-workers, leadership, and business partners Proven track record to create and deliver effective executive communication Experience crafting product roadmap(s) from conception to launch, driving product vision and leading design discussions. Self-motivated and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable working in a constantly evolving environment where ambiguity and short turnaround schedules are the norm. Description Description Technical product managers design and deliver process and product solutions that have a strategic impact for Apple. They drive decision automation that allows Apple to implement with greater speed, control, efficiency, and scale. They help realize business opportunity and balance operational tradeoffs through data science. Most importantly, they allow Apple to provide exceptional service to each and every one of its users. Our Technical Product Managers accomplish this by providing leadership and influence across functional teams to conceptualize, build, and deliver automated decision analytics and forensic analysis. This requires continuous problem solving, rapid learning, and an innovative approach. It also requires discipline, patience, and self-awareness as you work with many different business and engineering teams. You must love numbers, drive a metric driven strategy and champion an environment of operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities include:
• Plan and drive cross-functional projects with business partners
• Work collaboratively with our team of data scientists, data analysts, and product managers
• Develop partnerships with key business managers across a variety of teams across Apple, including finance, operations, engineering, and corporate security
• Translate business needs into initiatives with well-defined business requirements
• Identify new business opportunities and develop solutions that balance impact, cost, resourcing, timeline, success likelihood, and analytic risk
• Develop and prioritize analytic development projects
• Manage business critical metrics
