Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Experience and/or education must include: 1. C or C++ programming 2. Python programming 3. Low level operating systems including Linux and MacOS, system calls, file and memory management (page table, virtual address translation, thread management, and schedulers) 4. Computer architecture (x86, ARM and RISC-V), hardware and software co-design 5. Parallel and concurrent multi-threading programming, shared-data parallelism, and non-shared-data parallelism 6. Computer graphics, tile-based deferred rendering, sampling, texturing, antialiasing, geometric modeling, ray tracing and global illumination. 7. Advanced mathematics, linear algebra, numerical methods, sampling theory and signal processing, interpolations, and Fourier transform Description Description APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Design and develop software simulators for Graphics Processing Units. Build high-performance functional simulators of advanced Graphics processing unit (GPU) designs to help bridge the gap between software and hardware, influencing performance improvements and the programming ease of Apple produces. Code in C/C++ and implement the high-performance simulator. Leverage parallel, concurrent and multi-threading knowledge to ensure the best performance possible of the simulator. Understand new design specification and propose software modeling approaches. Debug system related functional and performance bugs in Linux and MacOS. Implement and debug binary translation. Implement high-efficient GPU memory management unit. Python programming language to write and maintain automation scripts for continuous integration testing and code auto-generation. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $141378 - $208300/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
