Since achieving this goal in 2020, we've set an even more ambitious goal — to make our products carbon neutral by 2030, across our entire supply chain and the lifetime energy use of our customers’ devices. This goal is of critical importance — in Apple’s fiscal year 2022, product manufacturing was responsible for 65% of Apple’s comprehensive corporate carbon footprint. The Supplier Carbon Solutions Program will help meet Apple’s 2030 goal by transitioning suppliers to carbon neutrality for their Apple-related operations. This transition hinges on our suppliers having access to cost-effective and high quality decarbonization solutions. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications You have 3 years or more of professional experience; familiarity with energy project development and project finance of energy projects is a plus. You have a broad understanding of various decarbonization technologies, including engineering, economic and policy factors. You have extraordinary program and project management experience, able to run and organize multiple projects with competing priorities and different timescales. You have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and excel at building relationships; you have exceptional verbal and written communication skills. You have experience working in and building cross-functional teams, resolving issues and building consensus during the entire project lifecycle. You are curious; able to learn quickly and adapt in a new and complex sector. You are self-motivated, proactive, and a self-starter, with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities. Description Description - Develop strategy and build cost competitive climate solutions to accelerate global supplier progress towards decarbonizing their Apple-related production by 2030, with a focus on Asia. - Partner with cross-functional energy, environmental, operations, procurement, finance, government affairs and legal teams to build solutions or platforms that help connect Apple and suppliers to high quality and cost effective decarbonization solutions. - Develop and implement strategies that lower barriers to cost effective procurement of renewable power, with a focus on Asia. The electricity used in manufacturing is the largest single source of carbon emissions in Apple's manufacturing supply chain. - Drive results in environments of policy uncertainty; identify market barriers and develop strategies to overcome those barriers. - Engage with internal and external experts to develop high quality decarbonization standards and build internal processes and engagements to enable the scaling of decarbonization solutions across Apple's supply chain and the broader industry. - Clearly communicate complex decarbonization strategies to non-energy audiences. Education & Experience Education & Experience Bachelors degree in engineering, physics, environmental science, economics/business or other technical/scientific field Advanced degree in engineering, project management, or management science is a plus Additional Requirements Additional Requirements East Asia language (Mandarin, Japanese, Korean) skills are a plus Willingness to travel internationally up to 30% Pay & Benefits Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $119,900 and $181,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
