The Vision Products Group (VPG) is working on exciting new technologies. We are looking for a driven and dedicated SwiftUI Performance Engineer. This team is building the core foundational platform for some of Apple's most advanced technologies. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Solid grasp of Computer Science fundamentals. Proficiency in C, one object-oriented language, and one scripting language. Passion for debugging and analysis tasks. Demonstrated organizational and multitasking abilities. Experience with SwiftUI and/or UIKit a bonus. 6+ years of relevant experience Description Description The successful candidate for this role is a team-oriented professional with excellent communication skills and is comfortable with multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has programming and scripting experience and is familiar with application development, performance in general and is capable of debugging issues in both real-time and through logs.
The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to profile and optimize SwiftUI-based applications, identify performance bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve rendering, animation, and overall responsiveness. The candidate will develop and maintain tools and frameworks to facilitate performance testing and analysis. The candidate will research and stay up-to-date with the latest trends, tools, and techniques in SwiftUI and visionOS performance optimization. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $138,900 and $256,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
