Strong experience with optics, optical system design, and detectors is required.

Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Strong background with sensors or related technology development Multi-disciplinary understanding of EE, ME, Optics, and Physics principles Demonstrated experience in modeling complex cross-disciplinary systems Demonstrated working proficiency in algorithms development / signal processing as applied to sensor systems Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with statistical tolerance analysis in a production setting is a plus. Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, Python, SPICE, or other simulation and modeling tools + scripting languages Description Description Develop and maintain comprehensive, cross-functional sensor system models
Feature definition, block-level simulation, and spec authorship of sensor modules
Development and negotiation of cross-functional requirements to ensure module performance
Development of detailed module architecture specifications
Analyze engineering and production data sets in order to reconcile system models
Work closely with firmware teams to develop advanced algorithms to ensure module performance
Author regular technical communication for executive and cross-functional briefings
Design analysis, characterization, and validation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Optical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Process Engineering to deliver state-of-the-art sensing solutions.
Travel to support design/production/supplier teams as necessary. Business travel to support product development (up to 10%) Education & Experience Education & Experience M.S/Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Optics or Physics. Ph.D. preferred. The base pay range for this role is between $138,900 and $256,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
