We are the Apple Health Technologies team, and we are looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test to work on exploratory projects - investigating new physiological sensing methods, prototyping health product concepts, or building research data-collection systems. You will be working closely with cross-functional partners to ensure the quality of prototype test hardware and software tools supporting exploratory health initiatives. As a member of our dynamic group, you will have the outstanding opportunity to be part of developing frameworks, tools and tests for emerging health technologies. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications 5+ years of proven industry experience Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Swift, or C++ Experience in testing various layers of the technology stack including overall system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance. Description Description You will be supporting studies aimed at discovery, development, and validation of groundbreaking new Health-related applications. - Collaborate with multi-functional teams: Work closely with software developers, product managers, and quality assurance engineers to understand product requirements and define test strategies. - Test planning and strategy: Participate in the development of test plans and strategies, identifying key areas for automation and ensuring adequate test coverage across various components of the software system. - Test framework development: Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test frameworks and test suites using industry-standard tools and programming languages. Continuously enhance existing frameworks to improve test efficiency, reliability, and maintainability. - Test case creation and execution: Build detailed and comprehensive test cases based on requirements and design specifications. Run test cases, analyze test results, and report defects in a timely manner. - Continuous integration and delivery: Integrate automated tests into pipelines, ensuring that tests are run efficiently and consistently as part of the software development process. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $131,500 and $243,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
