As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for the safe operation, maintenance, and repairs of facilities’ HVAC and mechanical equipment for all Austin corporate buildings. This role requires attention to detail, in-depth level of knowledge, and customer service skills. You will work alongside other Facilities teams to ensure that all facilities are maintained to display Apple’s standards. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications 5+ years of HVAC experience MEP knowledge Building automation system experience Ability to work alone and collaboratively Basic administrative skills Experience with CMMS and service request systems - Ability to authoritatively respond to urgent matters Description Description - Troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining various types of commercial HVAC equipment across Austin locations, including but not limited to: water-cooled chillers and cooling tower systems, air-cooled chillers, package units, air handlers, fan-coil units, VRF systems, and fan-powered boxes
- Low-voltage electrical troubleshooting
- Implement safety requirements related to mechanical systems, electricity, and hazmat
- Operating and solving building automation systems
- Works in an environment that requires collaboration within and outside of the HVAC team to support all of Apple’s Austin facilities
- Multi-tasking to support work efforts across all sites
- Responding to work tickets with priority and outstanding customer service
- Support construction projects, ensuring all facilities delivered to end-users are up to the same standards as our existing facilities
- Collaborating with vendors to complete work tasks
- Perform special projects to support building users’ requests
- Participate in departmental on-call program, as designated
- Performing rounds/health checks on equipment
