Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Strong engineering fundamentals: materials, solid mechanics, kinematics, dynamics. Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, and visual; ability to clearly communicate design ideas, contribute to brainstorms, and drive collaborative alignment. Masterful problem-solving: curiosity and resourcefulness paired with the use of the scientific method, root cause analysis, etc. Leadership: ability to thrive in collaborative multi-functional environments. Experience in 2D/3D CAD creation, drafting, GD&T, and tolerance analysis. Experience with manufacturing processes and relevant physics. Basic knowledge of electronics, signal processing, material science, and chemistry. Proficiency with common data analysis tools (JMP, MATLAB, Excel, etc). Description Description Collaborate with design, marketing, software, and technology partners to invent new product forms and features. Drive product form, feature, and technology convergence through detailed engineering analysis. Prototype, evaluate, and debug innovative ideas. Design and define mechanical components and assembly schemes. Generate detailed specifications and drawings. Analyze static and dynamic structures to quantify fundamental device performance. Participate in the development of new manufacturing and assembly processes with external vendors (including some domestic and international travel). Validate and characterize designs through multiple iterations. Create predictive models, conduct design of experiments (DOEs), and failure. analysis to resolve root cause and implement corrective actions. Generate new intellectual property.
