We are seeking a strategic and creatively-minded Music Editor to join the Apple Music Editorial team. The successful applicant will have a proven history of managing editorial platforms, ideally with experience across multiple mediums. There should be high confidence in content curation and audience behavior and a track record of optimizing a platform based on a solid understanding of analytics and trends. The successful applicant will have an exacting eye for detail and be able to apply it to all Editorial spaces, overseeing a high-quality and vibrant environment for our users. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Thorough understanding of the digital content space and the users who inhabit it. Proven experience in running editorial platforms in the music industry. A nuanced understanding of culture, particularly a multifaceted appreciation of music and its genres, as well as a deep connection to the arts, tech, & media landscapes. Deep experience with digital content strategy and planning campaigns from concept to launch. High level of comfort with engagement metrics and analytics generally and an ability to apply learnings. A track record of exceptional communication inside a complex, cross-functional global business, able to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Has significant experience managing the relationship between talent and brands, including optimizing social reach. Meaningful experience working on the delivery of live events. Passion for and knowledge of the Apple brand and products, and ability to inspire that same passion in others. Description Description In this role, you will:
- Deliver day-to-day elements of maintaining a vibrant and engaging platform, such as content curation and programming.
- Curate our homepage and playlists to ensure our customers are presented with the most relevant tracks and the best playlists and stations available.
- Key Editorial voice on large-scale, cross-functional content initiatives, helping to manage and maximize execution.
- Drive strategies that maximize how content is featured throughout our platform, enhancing the user experience and optimizing engagement.
- Work with internal teams to create and deliver original live events and drive complex, time-critical editorial projects with cross-functional teams globally.
- Use analytical skills to translate data into insights and actions, reinforcing an environment where you and your teammates can thrive and innovate.
- Develop and manage playlist brands, maintaining a deep understanding of musical culture and the lifestyles of different target audiences.
