We are actively looking for an experienced, collaborative, and highly motivated facilities professional to join our team as a Facilities Building Manager. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications 3-5 years experience related to workplace management and customer service. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be comfortable interfacing with all levels of the organization and working cross-functionally on a variety of Facilities projects. Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a changing, high-growth environment. Works with peers and management to promote and maintain a collaborative workplace. Experience in planning, coordinating, and executing multiple client needs. Skilled in developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with internal teams, customers, and business units. Description Description The Facilities Building Manager serves as a central resource for building occupant groups, providing support for Facilities services. They collaborate with various internal teams, including Space Planning, Operations and Maintenance, Shipping, Receiving, & Mail, the Print Program, Corporate Conference Center, Reception, Project Management, Design, Environmental & Safety, Security, and Services teams.
Responsibilities
The Facilities Building Manager will assist in overseeing multiple buildings and properties spread across the Austin area.
They have overall responsibility for implementing policies, procedures, and programs that ensure well-managed, well-maintained, and safe buildings and facilities.
They manage and maintain the work environment, including office furniture/layout and lab requirements, to maintain consistency across all sites.
Responsible for signage and conference room management.
Conduct and report quarterly building audits.
Advocate for business unit needs to continuously enhance the customer experience.
Collaborate with the move team on major relocations of people and labs, including reconfigurations, new building construction, and internal building shuffles.
Continuously evaluate and identify innovative ways to streamline processes.
Ensure that questions, concerns, and suggestions are addressed in a timely manner.
Collaborate with peers across regions to ensure that standards are shared and implemented.
Communicate information regarding events, closures, construction, and other building impacts to building occupants. Education & Experience Education & Experience A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field is preferred, along with 5 years of work experience, or an equivalent combination of experience in Design, Construction, or Project Management.
