Working with some of the best security engineers in the world, you’ll have a direct positive impact on the security of Apple’s products. The product security response engineering team has highly motivated, world-class engineers responsible for researching security issues across Apple products. You will be focused on triaging security and privacy issues at scale to find, communicate about, handle, recover from, and learn from security incidents. You will cover the gamut of what Apple offers, including iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS, and more. To be successful in this role you will need to keep a cool head in crisis and possess a drive to solve hard problems, sound judgment under pressure, a technical background, attention to detail and exceptional lateral and executive communication skills. You will need to coordinate between many stakeholders, set expectations for deliverables from many different teams, and take ownership of security initiatives. In this role, you will: * Help to shape the future of the Apple Security Bounty program and improve the perception of Apple within the security community. * Work closely with partner teams and leadership to manage security critical escalations and coordinate security incident response activities. * Communicate with external security researchers about details of security reports, the perceived security impact, and resolution plans. * Set an example for positive, consistent, and effective communications with researchers, including by providing regular updates via the Apple Security Research site and acting as a team liaison with external communications partners. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $138,900 and $256,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
