The Audio and Media Technologies (AMT) group provides the media foundation across all of Apple's innovative products, including iPhone, HomePod, Apple TV, Apple Watch, iPad, Macs as well as professional and consumer applications from Final Cut to Music, TV and iWork. AMT takes the media experience to the next level on the iOS, tvOS, watchOS and macOS platforms with technologies such as AirPlay, AVFoundation, CoreMedia, CarPlay, and Printing. We are searching for the right Software Engineer to help us take our efforts to the next level!
You will be a core contributor in our team to develop and maintain a modern deployment system for cloud services, hardware labs, and applications. You will be responsible for system bringup, deployment, reliability, security and service scalability. This role is highly multi-functional and you will work very closely with various highly skilled software development teams and their applications. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Proven experience in handling a large fleet of *nix systems Programming experience (preferably Python and/or Golang) General compute knowledge of Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes Cloud/Hybrid (Data Center, AWS, GCP) experience Experience with configuration management tools, such as Terraform Description Description Your core responsibility is to provide design and operational support of multiple cloud based applications with an emphasis on deployment, security, scalability and reliability running on public and Apple infrastructure. You'll be on a team that is responsible for:
Working with teams on the design, implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of infrastructure for internal and tentpole projects
Defining automation and processes for orchestrating hardware in custom lab environments
Serving as a central point for cross-team coordination on infrastructure capabilities and policy
Engaging in capacity planning, application optimization, and right-sizing on an ongoing basis Education & Experience Education & Experience BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience Additional Requirements Additional Requirements Desired, but not required: Proven experience in implementing and running infrastructure for teams and supporting critically important applications Experience running Relational and NoSQL Databases Experience building fully automated CI-CD pipelines Experience building custom orchestrators and operators in Kubernetes Pay & Benefits Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $131,500 and $243,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
