This is a highly technical, hands-on position where you will work with global, follow-the-sun Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams to make Siri Search reliable and fast for hundreds of millions of customers. We’re looking for an EPM with a solid track record of maintaining high-quality global services under demanding usage to further the reliability and stability of our infrastructure that supports millions of users every day. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications 10+ years of Program management with experience covering as many of the following as possible: global internet services, a large-scale & international user base, distributed computing, a product with external dependencies (e.g. partner data feeds), and responsibility for rapid-response actions. Understanding of SRE principles and goals along with global on-call experience. Strong technical experience with cloud infrastructure, large scale systems, Linux/server operating systems running on containers, big data, and networking. Bonus points for past Engineering experience. Self-motivated, independent, and proactive; demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities; can quickly (realtime) triage, prioritize, and lead cross-functional teams under pressure. Highly developed drive to improve how things work, with solid track record of driving spectacular improvements for team quality, performance, agility, or effectiveness. Outstanding communication and presentation skills, written and verbal, to all levels of an organization. High operational precision and attention to detail. Description Description - Work closely with SRE, Operations, and Engineering teams to ensure maximum availability of the global Siri Search production environments. - Assist the SRE teams with support of production environments. Work with teams to understand production issues, help track back to underlying issues, and propose future-proofing of the production environments. - Work with global SRE teams in the US, Europe, and Asia to improve follow-the-sun resourcing and schedules. The role will require minimum travel to international offices. - Be an advocate for SRE process improvements and tools to ensure that the production environments are stable and reliable. Assist teams with scope and timelines for delivery of new tools/processes. - Work with partners on new and existing projects; drive functional and technical design discussions, cross-functional negotiations, planning, execution, delivery, and more. - Drive comprehensive, real-time analytics and reporting on key operational measurements for quality, performance, capacity, and reliability. - Act as the point of contact for the global SRE teams. Build relationships across the AIML organization and facilitate communication between groups. - Be the voice for our customers; do whatever it takes to deliver the highest quality experience to our customers. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $152,400 and $268,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
