Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Hands on experience with PTPX and Power Artist power analysis tools Experience in SOC power simulation, modeling, and analysis flow Familiarity with ASIC Power Simulation, Analysis and Optimization Familiarity with script writing in python, Perl or TCL Experience with SOC power modeling, low power design and power optimization Understanding of electrical properties of on-die PDN, power gating, package and system power delivery Familiarity with power impact at architecture, logic design, and circuit levels Familiarity with SOC design Flow and Methodology Strong communication skills are a pre-requisite since you will collaborate with a lot of different groups Familiarity of WiFi Standards is a plus Description Description In this highly visible role, you will be responsible for SOC power simulation and power modeling, SOC use case power analysis, and drive the future SOC power optimization
You will have the opportunity to integrate and come-up with new ideas, as well as work with a team of talented engineers
The main responsibility of this role is to drive the SOC power modeling and optimization for very power efficient products
Work with architects to define interesting use-cases to simulate
Define test cases within the design verification team’s environment
Work with logic teams to determine the correct functionality or enhance functionality for power reduction
Work with Architecture and design team to model the SOC power for use cases
Develop SOC power model on new architecture design, providing power data for performance/power trade-offs
Work with multi-functional teams on improving power modeling
Understand interactions of the product at the software and system level that impact power
The job also involves partnering with the lab and silicon characterization team on correlating models to the HW data Education & Experience Education & Experience BS and 10+ years of relevant industry experience Additional Requirements Additional Requirements Pay & Benefits Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $170,700 and $300,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
