You’ll collaborate with teams across Apple to research, design, develop, test, and qualify camera hardware for Apple products. The Camera Hardware Engineering group is responsible for the design, development, and innovation of camera hardware for all related Apple products. Our target is to deliver superior camera hardware to enable best-in-class camera user experience. We are looking for an enthusiastic, high-energy individual who can help us with tomorrow’s challenges. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications 3+ years of hands-on experience in Mechanical design. Proficient in CAD 3D modeling and 2D drafting, NX a plus. Expertise in plastic injection molding, sheet metal design, and material surface treatment. Strong foundation in mechanical design principles, material knowledge and FEA. Proficient in conducting tolerance analysis for highly complex and precision mechanical structures. Proven track record in transitioning designs into mass production, ensuring rigorous quality control and reliability standards. Description Description - Design camera module structures in CAD.
- Design injection molded, sheet metal, PCB and other component parts.
- Author detailed 2D manufacturing and inspection drawings.
- Perform rigorous tolerance analysis of module designs and component parts.
- Interface with component part and camera manufacturing partners on design manufacturability and resolution of mechanical issues.
- Author clear documentation on mechanical inspection and test requirements.
- Direct FEA engineers on evaluation of camera designs. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $138,900 and $256,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
