Apple is looking for an experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Professional to join the Santa Clara Valley EHS team. This role supports a fast paced environment and assists in the development, implementation and management of Apple’s EHS programs. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications 10 or more years broad-based EHS experience, with special emphasis on chemical and process safety, industrial hygiene, and risk assessment and control Chemical review and approval processes Equipment or tool safety program and LOTO program Lithium ion and battery safety EHS risk assessments, exposure assessment and hazard control practices Proctoring emergency response drills Incident response, investigation methods, and incident databases Working knowledge of fire and gas life safety systems Strong understanding of ISO Standards, OSHA Standards and Fire Code is a plus Posses the skills and ability to: Develop and implement EHS programs Maintain and monitor EHS permitting and regulatory compliance Conduct and track workplace safety and compliance inspections Manage computer based EHS training (Learning Management Systems LMS) development and delivery Properly assess physical and health hazards and the selection of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Additional skills and experience in the following areas are desirable Managing incident reports, investigations and tracking systems. Establishing positive relationships with Federal, State, and Local regulatory agencies Building relationships with peers, partners and Apple internal customers Assessing EHS risks in high hazard R&D environments Willingness to emergency response on-call rotation Description Description This position will help develop and implement EHS programs to ensure environmental, health and safety compliance are maintained at Apple facilities located in the Bay Area. Major areas of responsibility include: chemical safety, lab safety, industrial hygiene management, contractor safety, EHS training, emergency response, and EHS compliance inspections. Education & Experience Education & Experience Bachelor degree or higher in EHS management, chemical, or related field, with experience in R&D, manufacturing, or recycling setting. Pay & Benefits Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $131,300 and $250,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
