We are seeking a Product Marketing Lead for Japan, based in Tokyo.
This lead role will take ownership and drive Apple’s product centric marketing strategy in the markets and articulate the market ambition to deliver impact and growth. A critical function the role is to be the spokesperson for Apple’s products in their market as well as a vocal member of the Senior Marketing and Geo Leadership teams.
This role will manage a team of product experts who champion products within their respective markets and seek innovative ways to keep our products at the heart of the customer conversation.
Continuous improvement of product launches, comprehensive business and market analytics, instinctive insights and focus are valued attributes. The lead will have a deep understanding of product, portfolio and marketing strategy, twinned with the ability to implement for results.
The Lead need to have the capability to work in collaboration with other critical functions — Marcom, PR, Finance and Sales, to articulate and shape the opportunity ahead, influence local sales strategies and programs, and to define as well as communicate region-unique requirements for current and future products in a coherent way to multiple partners in US and across the globe.
They will also proactively collaborate with other Geo PM Leads to define and articulate critical thinking as a collective voice into WWPM, providing thought leadership to better communicate geo opportunities and priorities.

Key Qualifications Key Qualifications 18+ years of experience in product management and marketing Experience working for/or with a global organization in technology or related fields. Business analytics and strategic product management experience with deep knowledge of industry trends as a plus. Technical fluency with the competency to translate features into consumer benefits and vice versa. Several years experience in leading and developing a team with a growth mindset. Curiosity, a passion for excellence, ability to ask the right questions, and the love of working as part of a team. Ability to continually prioritize and multi-task in a dynamic, creative, fast paced environment. Highly collaborative with exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills. Fluency in English and Japanese is required. Extensive travel is required. Description Description - Articulate the product opportunity in market and provide product insight and leadership from product introduction through end-of-life to both the Marketing and Sales organizations.
- Lead the team to deliver product launches with excellence every time.
- Own and drive the annual Marketing plan, outlining opportunities and actions that lead growth and category leadership, instilling quarterly plans to align and implement the plan.
- Build impactful teams through mentoring and developing talent. Actively develop an inclusive environment by recognizing the value that different perspectives and cultures bring to the organization.
- Act as a primary liaison between Market and WW for all local business needs and feature requirements, shaping strategical thinking and contributing to global initiatives and programs.
- Influence product feature roadmaps, and make clear recommendations that improve the customer experience.
- Devise and craft a singular market narrative to enable clear understanding of market dynamics, customer voice, opportunity and set actions that all key partners understand. as well as defining a common geo voice into WW planning.
- Become a visible and proactive member of the senior Marketing management team as well as the overall Leadership Team in the geo, providing strategic input and influencing long term plans.
- Be the guardian of product messaging and positioning across every customer touch point, advancing the cause of excellence.
- Possess expert knowledge of competitive and third party products and strategies. Make pricing and forecasting recommendations to management and cross-functional teams. Education & Experience Education & Experience - BA/BS or equivalent experience in business or related field. MBA or equivalent degree is plus.
