The Fitness+ Studio is a high volume, state-of-the-art 4K UHD multi-camera production and post production facility responsible for creating bespoke audio and video content. The multi-disciplinary Fitness+ Engineering team supports the day-to-day operations of the Fitness+ Studio. Their expertise spans broadcast video, lighting, robotic cameras, audio, systems, and network engineering. Fitness+ is seeking a Studio Engineer to help support the hardware and software for our studio, post-production and delivery pipelines. Responsibilities range from providing on-the-spot support for the live studio to architecting and deploying new technology and workflows. Specialized expertise in audio production (live and post) is desired for this position. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications 5+ years providing technical support and troubleshooting of live and post production audio and video signal flows, workflows, protocols, and codecs in a live, live-to-tape or post production environment. Experience with audio systems and spaces (i.e. wireless microphone transmission, Pro Tools, Dante and other AVoIP tools). “Can-do” attitude that thrives on collaboration and problem-solving in high-demand and fast-paced environments Comfort collaborating with internal audio teams to ensure high fidelity audio is achieved at each step of the pre-production, production, post production, and client delivery stages of the service. Open to a flexible work schedule with possible weekends and off-hours work as required Self-starter who can handle their own tasks and projects with little guidance from leadership Description Description The Fitness+ Studio Engineer will be responsible for the on-demand support of the production and post production teams. This includes work with acoustic fundamentals; sound studio spaces; cinema grade cameras and lenses; video and audio signal path; camera robotics; production lights and their control systems; fiber-channel SAN storage; and various software applications running across macOS, Windows and Linux operating systems. The individual will be encouraged to effectively manage their time enabling the delivery of projects and tasks with relatively little delay. The position requires regular coordination with third party vendors for studio upgrades and equipment repair. Success in this role requires the ability to handle out-of-band requests to ensure the smooth operation of the studio and its production pipeline. This person must be open to working evening and weekend shifts as needed. Experience in a technical support role for live, live-to-tape or post-production support position is crucial. The candidate must be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Education & Experience Education & Experience - BA/BS or equivalent preferred. - Equivalent or relevant field experience acceptable. Additional Requirements Additional Requirements - Ability to construct and install various video, audio, ethernet, fiber and control cabling required. - Experience in the maintenance and repair of studio broadcast equipment and infrastructure including switchers, cameras, routers, live audio consoles, wireless microphones, lighting, lighting consoles, communications systems, fiber-backs, displays, single and multi-mode fiber, ethernet and SMPTE311 connections required. - Showed strength crafting and modifying technical drawings (AutoCAD highly preferred). - Demonstrated proficiency in administration and troubleshooting of macOS, Linux, and Windows. Open directory and SAML authentication services preferred. - Proven ability to design and deploy audio bays of various capacities and functionality with a strive to standardize approach and components highly preferred. Pay & Benefits Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $183,900 and $276,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
