As the leader of the Software Localization Project Management team you will be responsible for ensuring Apple delivers a high quality, fully localized software experience for all our OS platforms and applications. In this role you will lead the team responsible for tailoring the localization for our software releases and driving support for international features. You will oversee localization project management efforts spanning software engineering, collaborating deeply with teams across Apple to ensure that when anyone uses our products anywhere in the world it feels like they were designed specifically for them and their culture. The Software Localization Project Management team is looking for a hands-on leader with proven experience managing software projects. Exceptional communication and influence skills are a must for this role as it requires collaboration across many different engineering, translation, and quality teams. Successful candidates will have an extraordinary attention to detail which can be seen in both how they work and their resulting deliverables. Experience leading technical teams is also important - this is a team of technical project managers focused on complex software releases. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications 3 - 5 years of experience leading technical teams Proven ability to project manage and deliver complex software projects to a large customer base Knowledge of internationalization, localization and translation management systems Exceptional cross-functional communication and influence skills Strong written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to communicate with team members around the world Strong technical understanding of software product development Experience solving complex problems through software tools and processes Highly motivated, self-starting individual that takes the initiative Passion for delivering international software Description Description - Leading a diverse team of project managers responsible for localizing Apple software releases - Owning the overall localization quality of each release and acting as a champion for international issues - Working with teams around the world to schedule engineering, translation and QA resources and aligning these resources with product schedules - Defining goals, setting priorities, and challenging experienced project managers to do their best work - Leading the prioritization and resolution of localizability issues across software engineering - Evangelizing localization considerations across the company to ensure products are designed with international customers in mind - Defining and driving localization process and tools improvements that will increase quality, improve turnaround times, and reduce costs Education & Experience Education & Experience This role requires a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field and experience with software project management. Pay & Benefits Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $166,400 and $289,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
