Experience and/or education must include: Finite Element Methods Viscoelastic Materials Failure Mechanics Solid Mechanics and Dynamics Multiphysics Description Description APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California. Mechanical design and simulation of phones and watches. Structural analysis on designs of phones, watches and acoustic products. Mechanical characterization of materials and implementation of the same in simulation. Responsible for FEA modeling and material characterization for new devices including iPhones and iWatch. Collaborate with the Product Design team to analyze and inform the mechanical design of cutting-edge products. Work with cross-functional teams within Apple and with outside vendors to characterize the strength of raw materials and components. Perform structural analysis on designs of iPhones and watches. Conduct mechanical characterization of materials and implementation in simulation models. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $170,700 - $256,500/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
