Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Networked Systems, or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. Experience and/or education must include: Proficiency with compiled object-oriented programming languages (e.g., C++, C#) Knowledge of scripting languages including Python Expertise in software system design principles and best practices Analysis and optimization of algorithm performance Experience in writing highly performant thread-safe code Debug complex problems, identify, and implement solutions Unit testing and automated testing solutions Description Description APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California. Design and develop software systems and architectures for improving user input on software keyboards. Research, design, develop, implement and debug software as part of text input and text processing systems. Develop software to meet quality and performance specifications. Evaluate multiple solutions to a problem and select the best possible option by running well designed evaluation tests. Develop tools to evaluate NLP models. Measure performance of software using performance tools; identify bottlenecks and improve performance. Create unit tests and automated test sets to continuously track progress and avoid regressions. Debug complex problems, identify and implement solutions. Interpret defect customer reports, reproduce defect, design, and implement solution to address defect. Review software source code to identify defects and performance issues, and design for long term maintenance and testability. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $141,378 - $208,300/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
