The Audio and Media Technologies (AMT) is at the center of audio, video and graphics support in Apple’s innovative products, including the HomePod, AirPods, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and AppleTV. AMT's Audio team provides the audio foundation for various technologies like FaceTime, Camera, AirPlay, Spatial Audio, Siri, Phone Calls and Music playback. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Excellent software design/programming skills in C++ Solid understanding of object-oriented methodologies, multi-threaded programming and operating systems concepts Experience with digital audio Strong debugging skills Description Description As a Core Audio System Software engineer, you’ll be responsible for developing and debugging audio system software for all of Apple’s platforms. Audio software stack on Apple devices has a considerable complexity and a rich feature set in the way that audio is routed through the system and integrates various hardware pieces. The position will involve developing and improving the software components that are responsible for both running the audio hardware and exposing audio features and capabilities upwards through the system. The work involves close collaboration with hardware driver teams and various Apple technologies including Siri, AirPods, Camera, FaceTime, Phone calls and AirPlay. Education & Experience Education & Experience BS or MS in CS, EE, or related. Additional Requirements Additional Requirements Experience with modern C++ is a plus Pay & Benefits Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $131,500 and $243,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
