RF System Test Engineer

As a member of the Satellite Connectivity Group, you will work on the satellite network that enables connectivity to iPhone when off the grid without cellular or Wi-Fi coverage. Every day, Apple customers use Emergency SOS via satellite to access emergency assistance when they are in need of help and have no other means to communicate. The team is looking for a RF System Test Engineer to own RF testing for a large scale hardware project. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Experience in RF frontend design or qualification Experience in antenna test and characterization Expertise in RF instrumentation and scripted automation (Spectrum analyzers, VNA, Signal Generators, etc.). Experience in automated production test Experience in industrial environmental qualification Familiarity with digital signal processing, software radios, or digital beamforming Excellent verbal and written technical communication skills Description Description - Define RF test matrix based on hardware and system requirements. - Collaborate with internal and external engineering and manufacturing teams on test coverage, design, implementation and execution. - Perform and automate RF testing and data analysis at component and system levels. - Work with engineers to debug and root cause test anomalies. - Review test data, create test reports, define pass/fail criteria at qualification and production. Education & Experience Education & Experience - 5+ years experience in RF engineering or test roles - Minimum BS Electrical Engineering or similar degree Additional Requirements Additional Requirements Pay & Benefits Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $170,700 and $300,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
