Software QA Engineer, Security Engineering & Architecture

Summary Posted: Oct 23, 2023 Role Number: 200513882 The Security Engineering and Architecture QA team is seeking a Software QA engineer who can work on a fast paced team, and has strong experience with leading multi-functional testing efforts, developing tests, and technical acuity. In this role you will work with software development & quality engineers, on and outside the team, to test and deliver complex features in various security projects. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications 2+ years of shown experience working as a Software QA Engineer Knowledge of software development lifecycle, testing methodologies, and testing tools Experience in developing test plan, assessing risk, filing appropriate defects Experience in creation and automation of software tests (regression tests, functional tests, performance tests, stress tests) Experience identifying automation requirements and designing solutions to address test execution challenges Experience designing test reporting dashboards and reports, enabling seamless status reporting to multi-functional partners Software skills with automation languages (Python, Swift) Knowledge of macOS, iOS, tvOS, Linux and/or equivalent Experience diagnosing and debugging complex systems Description Description This position requires hard working individual with strong technical and communication skills to handle responsibilities which will include design and implementation of test plans and test cases, risk analysis, and automation of tests. You will need to show abilities in communicating with developers, Engineering Program Managers, other QA Engineers to build solid test plans, execute and report results. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills, and a passion to make the best products possible. Pay & Benefits Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $132,300 and $241,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
