The Worldwide Retail Online Finance team supports all facets of Apple’s Retail Online business. This team closely partners with various teams both within Retail and across Apple to support Online’s sales and commercial strategies, operations, marketing activities, and long-term capital investments. Apple is seeking a Financial Analyst to support our rapidly evolving Online commercial business. The ideal candidate has a track record of success and thrives in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment. This global role will partner most closely with the Retail Online team to drive worldwide sales reporting and analysis for Online, understanding business trends and drivers, and communicating insights to leadership. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications 3+ years of relevant finance experience in a high performance, fast-paced organization Hands-on financial experience performing financial modeling, forecasting and analysis Demonstrated success in financial process improvement Self-starter who anticipates business needs and thinks proactively Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills Collaborative; an effective influencer who is able to build consensus among cross-functional teams Ability to learn quickly and thrive in a hardworking, collaborative environment Strong organization skills and flawless attention to detail and data accuracy Advanced proficiency with Excel and Keynote is required Financial visualization tool experience, including Tableau Desktop or Tableau Prep is a plus Description Description The Retail Online Finance team supports Retail’s digital platforms worldwide. This team contributes to the success of Apple by facilitating the planning, analysis, prioritization and evaluation of our Online performance. This exciting role seeks to provide quantitative analysis of Online’s commercial levers, including promotions, consumer segments, and fulfillment offerings. In partnership with the regional and global business teams, you will analyze trends and insights to support key leadership updates at the worldwide level. The ideal candidate for this role possesses strong business acumen and relationship management skills, with self-drive and an eagerness to make an immediate impact to the business. The candidate must be able to simplify and clearly articulate key drivers, results, and meaningful details to business partners and our leadership team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Finance lead for Online Weekly Business Review (WBR) process, setting agenda, providing financial analysis, packaging findings, and presenting trends and insights to VP of Online and Finance leadership each week
- Mentor, train, and manage a junior analyst (FDP) to create WBR content and partner on various projects
- Support for key leadership updates, including Quarterly Business Review, Executive reviews, and more
- Support financial planning and analysis for consumer segments, including Apple’s Refurbished product category, partnering with WW Product Marketing to set pricing
- Develop financial models and business cases to assess business initiatives, and provide recommendations to leadership
- Deep focus on data, systems and tools, optimizing reporting through automation and visualization. Contribute to the vision of Retail Financeʼs long term data strategy
- Support Finance and Retail Online organizations in ad hoc projects relating to business initiatives, promotions, new product introductions, and more Education & Experience Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Economics or Business Additional Requirements Additional Requirements Pay & Benefits Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $105,200 and $158,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
