Passion for clean and well-layered software architectures Understanding of how to write software that executes in multiple threads and processes Strong engineering and debugging skills Ability to craft elegant and concise APIs Description Description The UIKit framework provides a wide range of functionality and is used in every single iPhone and iPad application. It also powers other Apple platforms such as AppleTV and VisionPro. It encompasses touch and event handling, animations, views, windows, controls, text, and higher level components such as UITableView and UICollectionView. Your responsibilities will include working closely with the HI design team on new UI concepts and adding features to existing components that complement the future iterations of iPad and iPhone hardware. In addition, you will work multi-functionally with many application developers inside Apple to define the next set of UI framework features and corresponding APIs. This best-in-class team is a group of very hardworking engineers with a love for reusable design and architecture. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $138,900 and $256,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
