This team is part of Apple’s International services team, which represents all of Apple’s services (App Store, Music, News, Books, iCloud etc.) across all international markets. As the TV+ Business Analyst, you will be part of the team that drives business growth and performance for Apple TV+ internationally. The breadth of the role is varied and covers market analysis, performance & content analysis, commercial & distribution initiatives with a view to identifying and supporting key growth drivers. The role offers the opportunity to work on both tactical actions that drive our near-term business performance, and strategic initiatives that will define our future. The position is based in London and reports to Video Business Lead, Video Services, International. Your role will be critical as Apple seeks to deliver on its ambitious growth objectives for Video. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Possess a strong business and analytical background in telecom, media and technology. Demonstrate a natural aptitude for translating data into insights, and the ability to define and influence new strategies based on these insights. Strong understanding of the video marketplace particularly in digital distribution and video streaming with a view of key trends and players. Direct hands on experience in video subscription businesses and a sense of video rights and distribution landscapes. Comfortable with solving complex, cross-functional business problems whilst having a flair for understanding the solution for customers. Flexible and adaptable to handle the varying demands of a fast paced company. You should have strong quantitative analysis skills as well as extraordinary written and verbal communication and presentation skills. Hands-on attitude and always paying attention to the finest of detail. Description Description Strategic Analysis & Insights: Assisting strategic central video team projects with 1P and 3P data analysis and insights to feed into annual planning and to build ad hoc business cases for international growth projects Video Business Performance Tracking: Streamlining data comms with video leads & central team by building and maintaining central 1P business performance docs. Keeping the wider int’l video team informed of key business & video performance trends Content performance Tracking: Ownership of international content performance analysis and reporting, including setting and tracking title viewership & sign-up goals and generating key insights around content resonance by geo & genre, marrying 1P and 3P data. Video Market Intelligence: Point person for video market and competitive intel, managing relationships with key video analysts and local teams to build central repository of video intel across international. Utilise this base to educate internally as well as bring this intelligence into cognitive thinking and decision making. Market and initiatives prioritisation: ability to draft cohesive Pay TV and SVOD distribution landscape summaries and understanding the difference between OTT, PTV, SVOD, AVOD, FAST players. Support and coordinate TV+ distribution initiatives, especially in Pay TV, by helping guide and prioritise focus and efforts with objective data-driven analysis. Video Lead Support: supporting local video teams with bespoke analysis for ad-hoc requests in priority video markets; TV+ viewership trends; and local SVOD consumer behaviour Strategic partner engagement: support on PTV & SVOD competitive & market landscapes, pitch decks, business reviews and negotiations with key partners Education & Experience Education & Experience Candidates from all education backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Additional Requirements Additional Requirements Several years of relevant experience in large Media organisation or Studio with hands-on content experience. In addition to ideally a background within a consultancy firm or prior strategy roles within the sector. A detailed understanding of the digital content space, video industry, structures and business models including video streaming, transactional and subscription models. Fluent English is required. Additional languages are valued.
