ABOUT RETOOL: Nearly every company in the world runs on custom business software: Gartner estimates that up to 50% of all code is written for internal usage. This is the operational software for refunding orders, underwriting loans, moderating content, managing marketplaces, rolling out new features, onboarding employees, analyzing transactions, providing customer support…the list is nearly endless. For most companies, building and maintaining all of these tools demands a lot of engineering time—scarce, expensive resources better put to use on customer-facing products. At Retool, we’re designing a new type of development environment that makes it dramatically faster and easier to build all of this software. Retool unifies the ease of visual programming with the power of code, while abstracting away the tedious and repetitive tasks of development. We believe that the future of software development lies in being a force multiplier for developers and technical builders, helping them move considerably faster and build a lot more software.  It’s akin to a new version of Visual Basic, HyperCard, or Flash—with a bit of Figma and some future-of-programming vibes thrown on top. Today, our customers span from small startups building their first operational tools, to Fortune 500 companies building mission-critical apps for thousands of users across their business. WHY WE'RE LOOKING FOR YOU: Retool has focused the last year on building an excellent product, delivering value and impact to our customers, and growing the business. Now that we’ve built this foundation, we’re looking for our business recruiters to scale our GTM and G&A teams. We have aggressive hiring goals for the remainder of this year as we head into 2024, and are quickly growing these teams to support our customer base. We’ll look to you to lead the charge and drive Retool’s growth in partnership with our seasoned and engaged hiring managers. WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH: The talent team at Retool is small but extremely impactful. Recruiting has historically been a team sport, and we're proud of the recruiting-forward organization we've built. You'll partner with the team to set goals, ensure a stellar candidate experience, and achieve our aggressive hiring targets. We're a diverse bunch with a variety of backgrounds: some of us come from industries unrelated to tech and others have grown up on a steady diet of Bay-area companies. IN THIS ROLE, YOU'LL: Own the full-cycle recruiting process, from our first touchpoint with candidates to closing them in partnership with hiring partners  Partner with GTM and G&A teams to identify non-traditional ways to reach out to and attract candidates Be expected to successfully move candidates through our pipeline and ensure data cleanliness and accuracy Develop relationships with your key stakeholders to ensure success in your role; this includes the TA team, hiring managers, HR/comp, and other cross-functional partners Leverage your recruiting metrics to inform your activity needs, which we'll look to you to interpret, present, and manage Contribute to Retool's mission to build a diverse and performant company, and ultimately change the way all software is built THE SKILLSET YOU'LL BRING: 4+ years experience in full-cycle recruiting on the business side At least 2 years experience in recruiting within a startup Ability to identify, attract, engage, and effectively manage the interview, negotiation, and closing process  Superior verbal and written communication skills Past experience in working with multiple hiring managers Proficiency with Greenhouse, Gem, and LinkedIn Strong sourcing foundation with the ability to build nuanced/custom searches from scratch Desire to work with other team members, but also happy to work autonomously BA/BS degree preferred Retool offers generous benefits to all employees.
