TRR is looking for an entrepreneurial and driven sales enablement leader who will support the company's dynamic and growing sales organization through high impact leadership, operational execution, process innovation, and strong stakeholder management. This leader will work in close collaboration with Marketing, Sales, Product, Operations, Merchandising, Training & Development and other departments to establish enablement priorities & development plans to grow The RealReal’s business. The right candidate will provide both functional leadership and individual contributors alike with world-class enablement experience and partner with the Learning and Development team to facilitate delivery of the onboarding & continued training, content & collateral creation driving growth and generally upskilling the entirety of the Sales organization. This may entail innovating, creating, implementing, and managing new, never-done-before programs. Must possess the ability to analyze reports, uncover areas of improvement, develop innovative solutions, and implement the strategies to ensure the sales team is performing at a high level.
This role reports to the Sr. VP, Sales Operations. As a key pillar of the Sales Operations team, this position will have a critical impact on the inner workings of our evolving go-to-market organization and the strategies, processes and systems that support its contribution to The RealReal’s objectives & revenue opportunities.
What You Get To Do Every Day
Work in close collaboration with Marketing, Merchandise, Retail, Product, Training & Development and Sales leadership to establish enablement priorities & development plans.
Own all Sales teams offsite sessions (e.g. Sales Kickoff, QBRs), from planning to programming to execution.
Collaborate with Marketing to implement various pilots/programs; and ensure that messaging and positioning is consistently deployed across the Sales organization. Operationalize marketing content that helps drive better engagement and conversations with prospects. Think comprehensively about how to enable a luxury sale. Contribute to thinking around how to best operationalize key experiences in the consignor journey.
Partner with the cross functional leaders to analyze the program performance and define appropriate opportunities for improvement.
Be a thought partner, always speaking up about opportunities to improve org performance and morale
Develop methods for measuring performance of the strategic initiatives and/or pilots and facilitate developing technology infrastructure and scaling and implementing the successful initiatives across the org.
Continue to develop and build on our Sales Methodology to improve org wide sales acumen and partner with Training & Development team to deliver updated trainings
Partner with Training & Development team in development of the end-to-end Sales onboarding program, building a solid foundational experience that will lead to long-term success as TRR continues to scale
Leverage performance data to identify knowledge/skills gaps and measure effectiveness, efficiency and productivity improvements for the Sales organization, sharing data with the Training & Development team to continue building skills.
Collaborate with the sales leadership & Training & Development team to improve new hire productivity by reviewing current programming and training and evaluating their effectiveness.
What You Bring To The Role
Bachelor's degree required
10+ years in successful sales, sales management and sales training roles
Successful track record in sales prior to assuming leadership role is required
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, demonstrating executive presence
Ability to thrive and be agile in a fast-paced startup environment
Seasoned in performance coaching; setting goals and objectives; gives performance feedback; motivates for increased results; recognizes contributions; encourages ongoing education of the training team
Experienced in working at both strategic and tactical levels. Possess the ability to pull/analyze reports, identify areas of improvement, develop strategies, and implement programs
Proven ability in interviewing and hiring employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems
A strong change-agent and advocate for org initiatives - must possess and portray a positive “can do” attitude
Thrives in a fast-paced, scrappy and gritty environment - willing to build the plane while flying it
Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously with cross-functional teams while being flexible and responsive to dynamic situations and changing priorities
Proficient in Salesforce required
Knowledge of luxury products is a plus
Ability to travel 15%
The expected salary range for this role is $154,741 to $209,424. To determine starting pay we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity. Additionally, salary is just one component of TRR’s total rewards package. Depending on role, employees may also be eligible for a bonus program, incentive pay and benefits.
