Position Overview:
As a Media Operations Analyst with a specialization in ad tech space, you will be a key contributor to our team, focusing on incident management, documentation, revenue events, and business performance analysis. Your role will be critical in driving data-driven decision-making and optimizing our ad tech processes.
In essence, your role will be pivotal in ensuring that our operations are not just data-informed but data-driven. Your aptitude for calculating shifts in trends and detecting anomalies will make you an invaluable asset in the dynamic world of ad tech.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Events Analysis:
Monitor and analyze revenue events, including ad impressions, request volume, and bids to identify trends and anomalies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to clearly communicate changes in trends for financial plans & models.
Generate reports and insights to inform stakeholders.
AWS Cloud Cost Management: (Previous experience or willingness to learn)
Analyze AWS usage and cost data to identify trends, anomalies, and cost saving opportunities.
Creating and maintaining cost allocation across product lines.
Generating and presenting cost reports and recommendations to stakeholders.
Previous experience in this area or willingness to learn
Incident Management:
Identify and respond to operational incidents within the ad tech environment.
Collaborate with technical teams to analyze, document, and resolve incidents efficiently.
Implement incident response protocols and contribute to post-incident analysis to prevent future occurrences.
Documentation:
Create, update, and maintain comprehensive documentation related to internal processes, incident management procedures, and best practices.
Ensure that documentation is accurate, accessible, and serves as a valuable resource for team members and stakeholders.
Business Performance Analysis:
Collect, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to ad tech operations and business performance.
Develop dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights for decision-makers.
Collaborate with teams to implement performance-enhancing initiatives.
Ad Tech Expertise:
Demonstrate a deep understanding of the ad tech industry, including ad serving, programmatic advertising, data analytics, and industry trends.
Stay up-to-date with developments in ad tech and tech companies to provide informed insights and recommendations.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in data analysis and business operations, preferably in the ad tech sector.
AWS Certified Cloud Financial Management (formerly AWS Certified FinOps Practitioner) preferred but not required.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with expertise in data visualization and analytics tools.
Proficiency in incident management, documentation, and process improvement.
Excellent documentation skills with attention to detail.
Knowledge of ad tech concepts, technologies, and the ad tech ecosystem.
Experience with Looker or Tableau tools.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Compensation and Benefits
In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the approximate compensation range for this role in Boulder, Colorado is $70,000 to $90,000, including base salary and any related bonuses or commissions. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills and certifications.
