About the Job Sovrn is seeking an experienced Director of Product Marketing to lead our product commercialization efforts for Sovrn’s advertising tools, developing go-to-market plans, product positioning strategies, and sales enablement tools aimed at enterprise and mid-market digital publishing prospects and customers.You will lead cross-functional and distributed teams to drive commercial success through data-driven analysis and marketplace intelligence, customer-centric messaging, and creative problem-solving. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, you’ll work hand-in-hand with the product, marketing, sales, and customer success teams to drive revenue by building simple and differentiated product narratives tied to Sovrn’s value proposition that resonate with identified target market segments. You’ll be an authority not just on our products but on our target segments, our competitors, and our industry.  What you’ll be doing: Go-to-market planning & execution. Partner with commercial impact leads and product teams to drive internal alignment on go-to-market strategy, ensuring effective marketing launches for new products and significant new features. Competitor analysis. Build a competitor landscape that evaluates strengths and weaknesses, pricing, and positioning in order to build a strong value proposition that overcomes gaps and capitalizes on opportunities. Sales enablement. Develop customized enablement strategies to support sales readiness and effectiveness, including sales tools, competitive briefs, content assets, presentations, platform demos, and playbooks. Product collateral and marketing content. Develop content assets that resonate with target verticals and personas to support Top/Mid/Bottom demand gen and cross-sell growth campaigns. Market and buyer intelligence. Deeply understand Sovrn’s buyer personas in each segment, including business challenges, pain points, and decision making criteria; use this knowledge to inform product messaging and positioning, brand differentiation, marketing content, and sales tools. Product evangelism. Serve as a subject matter expert and effectively communicate Sovrn’s value proposition to a variety of stakeholders including customers, prospects, industry analysts, and the press; foster engagement with the broader ecosystem, including building a community of in-market customer ambassadors. This successful candidate will have: Demonstrable success in B2B product marketing or partner marketing, preferably at an enterprise SaaS company. Relevant online advertising industry experience (e.g. ad tech, programmatic advertising, identity, privacy). A high-level understanding of data partnerships and how they drive success within programmatic advertising. A good grasp of programmatic advertising from the buy side. Proven track record of working closely with product teams in developing GTM strategies to drive product adoption and revenue growth. The drive, flexibility, and entrepreneurial ownership to work in a start-up environment. Can quickly synthesize product features into understandable and compelling messaging. Strong analytical skills for analyzing products, competitors, and market dynamics Ability to work independently, make decisions in face of ambiguity, navigate complexity and iterate fast to adapt approach and execute on goals. Exceptional organizational, writing, presentation, and project management skills; ability to multitask, prioritize and organize work to meet deadlines and multiple requests. Strong analytical and synthesizing skills to translate technical content into compelling, value-based messages. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills and certifications.
