Job Description
Do you enjoy delivering a smooth user experience on the front-end? We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer who loves building great UI that delivers amazing user experience with React/TypeScript tech stack to help us build the next phase of growth for Simpplr. You will be working closely with other developers in your team and cross-functionally with other stakeholders such as Product Manager, Design, Data Science, and Program Management and take ownership of delivering critical projects to production with speed and quality.
Location
Simpplr Canada Engineering team follows hybrid model where we work up to (not more than) two days a week together for in-person collaboration in downtown Toronto (King & University area)
What you’ll be doing:
Work in a talented cross-functional team to develop new user-facing features using React/TypeScript on the frontend (and back-end in Node if you want to be involved in some full-stack development)
Contribute to our shared UI library used by many engineering teams across the whole company
Write automated unit tests and end-to-end tests for your code and services. Quality is incredibly important to us and everybody is responsible for it.
Build UI with care especially on accessibility considerations

3+ years of overall experience
Front-end experience with React, you should have a solid understanding of how and why it uses a virtual DOM, and you should be familiar with accessibility
Experience using modern modular CSS strategies e.g styled components, emotion, etc (we use CSS Modules) and why globally scoped styles are bad.
Good understanding of CI/CD, unit testing, and automated end-to-end testing using a framework like Cypress
Strong knowledge and understanding of functional programming patterns
Excited by working in a fast-paced startup environment
Able to occasionally travel to our other offices in UK, New Delhi, and San Francisco
We’d especially love to hear from you if:
You have proven excellence in writing readable and efficient TypeScript code
You have experience working with micro-frontends in production
You are familiar with feature flag tools such as Harness
