We are looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers to help design, implement and operate high-quality Windows and Mac experiences that are reliable, scalable, performant and secure. You will recruit, retain and coach developers in a variety of platforms such as, Mac OS and Window OS to innovate, execute, deliver and grow to their best. You will promote a positive and supportive work environment with a track record of delivering on commitments. You will communicate with different audiences, including executives and non-technical partners.

You will report to our Director of Engineering located in our Bellevue, WA office, or you may work remotely from anywhere in the US where Smartsheet is a registered employer.
You Will:
Focus on team members and coaching them to play to their strengths
Delegates to the team to harnesses their aggregate strength
Focus on personal and team needs to foster positive culture consistent with Smartsheet values
Help individuals and the team to set priorities and focus
Lead cross-team interactions, communication and requirements
Review and coach team on project designs for design review presentations
Analyze feature sets for market effectiveness: promote appropriate feedback and discussions with Product and Design
Analyze feature sets for implementation efficiency and performance: facilitates feedback and discussions with Product and Design
Create strong partnership with product management and other essential areas of the business
Actively participate in recruiting
You Have:
Knowledge of modern a development languages such as Typescript and Javascript
The drive to stay up to date on upcoming native technologies such as WebView2
10+ years software development experience
4+ years previous management experience
Experience building scalable, high available customer-facing native applications for Windows and/or Mac
Experience building or managing full stack teams is a plus
Experience building teams including, recruiting and retention
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
AWS or other Cloud experience
A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent practical experience

Smartsheet provides a competitive range of compensation for roles that may be hired in different geographic areas we are licensed to operate our business from. Actual compensation is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, level of professional, educational experience, skills, and specific candidate location. In addition, this role will be eligible for a market competitive bonus and RSU stock grant upon accepted offer. California & New York: $210,600 to $286,200 | All other US States: $195,000 to $265,000.
