Process Excellence Manager At Smartsheet Costa Rica As a Process Excellence Manager , you will act in a cross-functional role on behalf of the Finance Operations teams to improve the Order-to-Cash process in a way that supports scalability and changes in the business. You will use your project management and process improvement expertise to plan, manage, and coordinate process improvement projects that solve business-critical issues, making sure that from start to finish the projects hit each milestone commitment, deliver on time, and on budget. You will use your exceptional communication, collaboration, and organizational skills to work with cross-functional teams to complete project work while keeping all stakeholders well-informed. In this capacity, you will contribute to the shaping and re-engineering of operational processes and financial system changes that will help grow Smartsheet to a billion-dollar company. This role is located in Costa Rica and will report to the Manager of Process Optimization. You Will: Enhance relationships and networks with cross functional teams and senior internal/external partners who are not familiar with process improvement best practices to map processes, Identify opportunities for improvement, and drive significant change. Utilize complete knowledge and understanding of project management and process improvement principles and best practices to execute improvement projects from start to finish, while keeping all relevant stakeholders informed. Adapt your communication style and leverage your influence when it is needed to effectively resolve team conflicts, advocate for change, and compromise in ambiguous situations with a wide range of stakeholders. Create and manage business requirements, project scheduling, budgeting and securing resources. Monitor and assign individual responsibilities and enforce accountability of tasks and deadlines. Complete work independently and review progress with key stakeholders and leadership at critical milestones and progress checkpoints. Creatively analyze a wide range of issues and risks throughout the project life cycle while suggesting variations in your approach to execution, clearly communicating project/delivery risk, and recommending actions to mitigate those risks to senior leadership for awareness and to inform decisions. Maintain standard project management documentation and metrics with limited direction. Work with business owners to gather complete project information and requirements prior to kickoff. Assess unusual circumstances and use sophisticated analytical and problem solving techniques to identify and resolve any issues, risks, and problems throughout the project life cycle. Build relationships and nurture positive, collaborative working relationships with internal and external colleagues. Continually improve upon the project management process and provide recommendations to management. Identify and drive opportunities to refine processes through the use of technology and the elimination of non-value added activities, devise solutions based on limited information, and adapt existing approaches to resolve issues.  Work on problems of diverse scope to investigate reported pain points, identify root cause, determine impact on the end-to-end process, and collaborate with teams across Smartsheet to develop the best path for resolution (RevOps, DealOps, Legal, Sales Systems, IT, Finance, and Engineering). Gather data, determine appropriate metrics, and conduct analyses to ensure that established goals are met and process improvements are sustained. You Have: 5+ years project management or business process management experience.  Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience. Finance Operations related experience preferred Working knowledge of Project Management Fundamentals and Lean Six Sigma methodology (Business Process Management Certification Preferred ). Experience working across multiple departments, teams, and timezones. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Sound judgment and effective prioritization skills. Experience working with Salesforce and NetSuite or similar systems (Experience working with Smartsheet is a bonus). Must have the ability to learn quickly, adapt to new situations, provide recommendations,  and navigate ambiguity. Knowledge of Finance workflows and best practices.
