Our space solar products have powered over 1,00 satellites in orbit to date. MOCVD EQUIPMENT TECHNICIAN III SolAero has an immediate need for an MOCVD Equipment Technician II at our Albuquerque site. You will be responsible for supporting the maintenance and repair of metalorganic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) reactors used to manufacture advanced solar cells. WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO: Clean, repair, and rebuild parts and components Organize, clean, and maintain work spaces and tools Perform and document preventive maintenance procedures Routine handling, storage, delivery, tracking and disposal of chemicals, gases and hazardous waste Assist engineers and senior technicians with troubleshooting and reactive maintenance YOU’LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS  (Note:  you must meet every qualification in order to be considered ): High school education or equivalent Ability to perform physically demanding tasks while using proper PPE, including SCBA (training provided) 4+ years engineering experience in semiconductor manufacturing or other technical field THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE: Experience troubleshooting electrical and/or mechanical equipment  Experience with semiconductor manufacturing or related processes  Ability to provide and follow simple written and verbal instructions PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS Must be able to complete training and testing required to perform work while utilizing a full-face Air Purifying   Respirator (APR) and Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) Regularly required to use hands Frequently required to sit, occasionally required to stand and walk Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus Occasionally exposed to warm, cold and outdoor temperatures, fumes, or airborne particles Frequently required to work with and around chemicals Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate Important information: FOR CANDIDATES SEEKING TO WORK IN US OFFICES ONLY: To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Rocket Lab Employees must be a U.S. citizen, lawful U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State and/or the U.S. Department of Commerce, as applicable.
