SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER - WEB
Based on-site at Rocket Lab's new site SolAero in Albuquerque, NM as part of the SolAero Technologies acquisition, the Software Engineer is responsible for developing and supporting web applications. You will support the ERP Manager and EIS organization, with deliverables required for site operations.
WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO:
Work with teams in Engineering, Manufacturing, and Corporate functions, to develop browser-based solutions that rely heavily on relational databases and REST APIs, both upstream and downstream, as part of a service-oriented architecture.
Conduct software development activities to support the design and development of our full stack applications and microservices.
Provide engineering support for application issues and monitoring of application reliability through use of appropriate tools.
YOU’LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ years of professional software engineering experience and a bachelor's degree in software engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering; OR equivalent years of work experience (8+ years of experience) in lieu of a degree
Typescript/JavaScript or other high-level language (C#, Python, etc.)
Relational database and REST API design skills and Angular or other frontend framework (React, Vue, etc.)
SQL experience
THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE:
T-SQL
Node.js
Experience in an agile software development environment and with DevOps methodology
Experience writing automated tests
Network programming (Sockets/WebSockets)
Experience with containers, particularly Kubernetes and Docker
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to travel and communicate outside of work hours.
Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed.
