This is one role that can be based out of New York City, Chicago, Los Angles, or San Francisco.
As the Senior Media Business Development Manager, you will work closely with the Head of Media Business Development to support strategic initiatives with internal cross functional teams as well as external media partners. You are a self-starter who has worked across a wide variety of media partners and has deep expertise in the execution of partnership programs. You have strengths in strategic thinking, business development, analytical and problem-solving skills, cross-group collaboration, and executive communication skills.
Responsibilities :
Support Reddit’s media business development efforts with our key partners across Sports, Entertainment, News, Lifestyle, and Gaming. This includes developing cross-vertical strategies for larger media parent companies.
Negotiate and execute legal agreements where needed including, but not limited to MSAs, amendments, and renewals, while advocating for and negotiating new deal terms that might arise with partners.
Work closely with the Head of Media BD to develop team strategies for monetization, co-marketing, marketplace, and sales.
Work with Community, Curation, Product, Legal, and Marketing & Communications to define co-marketing levers including approval processes, timelines, and benchmarks for partnership deals.
Interface and collaborate with senior cross-functional partners to inform and influence decision-making.
Partner with Product leadership to align on ongoing new product customer workflows, testing, and feedback for media partners.
Establish a Media Business Development Names Account List that includes key contacts, partner priority, and partnership history.
Create and launch training materials and collateral for external partners including onboarding and engagement best practices.
Build a process to track partner engagement and adoption of tools and products.
Institute a workflow to connect Mods with Media Partners around key initiatives and events.
Develop scaled solutions for expanding Media Partnerships internationally.
Qualifications:
10+ years experience in partnerships, strategic and/or media business development.
Deep understanding of the challenges, needs, and priorities of media partnerships.
Expertise in operationalizing partnership programs and creating process documentation.
Extensive experience working with multiple cross-functional teams: getting internal alignment, executing shared goals, developing processes.
Team player who can work across multiple departments and levels within the company including product, legal, privacy, finance, tax, corporate development etc.
A high emotional IQ, with an understanding of how to manage both internal and external stakeholder priorities and differences.
Action-oriented with a history of getting things done in complex and ambiguous environments.
Results-oriented problem solver with a strong work ethic. Self-starter with a willingness to roll up your sleeves to get things done.

The base pay range for this position is: $198,200 — $297,300 USD
