We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Benefits Specialist to join our HR team for a defined project duration. The Senior Benefits Specialist will be responsible for managing and coordinating our employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing exceptional support to our employees during this temporary assignment. This is a part time role (24 hours a week) with the duration of this assignment at about 5 to 6 months.

About you:
You have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience working in Human Resources with 2+ years of direct experience working on benefits in the US.
You have strong skills in Excel/Google Sheets to conduct benefit audits, ensuring accuracy and compliance, as well as for performing comprehensive data analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for program improvement.
You have hands-on experience with Workday benefits and absence modules, including troubleshooting and reporting within the platform.
You are well-versed in utilizing Google Business Suite for email, calendar, and document management. Your expertise in leveraging these tools streamlines communication, collaboration, document organization, contributing to a more efficient and productive work environment.
You have a deep understanding of employee benefits administration, including compliance with federal and state regulations (e.g., ERISA, ACA, HIPAA). Your prior experience demonstrates your ability to manage benefits programs effectively.
You understand the importance of handling sensitive employee information with the utmost discretion and confidentiality, adhering to strict data privacy and security protocols.
You are an effective communicator, capable of explaining benefits options and changes to employees in a clear and approachable manner.
You thrive in identifying and resolving challenges related to benefits administration. Your proactive approach allows you to address issues promptly, ensuring a seamless benefits experience for our employees.
You approach challenges with a solution-oriented mindset, always seeking ways to improve processes and optimize the employee experience.
Your impact:
Oversee and manage the day to day administration of Omada’s benefits programs.
Efficiently monitor and maintain Workday leave of absence by promptly updating them based on notifications received from our leave of absence management vendor.
Assist employees with benefits-related inquiries and issue resolution.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure seamless delivery of benefits and resolve any operational issues.
Manage our wellbeing program in partnership with our wellness vendor - sending out monthly wellbeing newsletters, coordinate wellness initiatives, manage wellness incentives and track reimbursements.
Stay updated on federal, state, and local laws governing employee benefits, ensuring that our programs remain compliant.
Thoroughly and accurately complete compliance reporting and necessary filings in accordance with regulatory requirements (e.g., non-discrimination testing, HCSO, ACA, 5500 preparation, and other legal reporting requirements).
Liaise with benefit vendors and providers to address inquiries, resolve issues, and support contract negotiations.
Monitor vendor performance and recommend improvements as necessary.
Perform regular audits and review to verify data accuracy, benefit plan compliance and adherence to regulatory standards.

California, New York State and Washington State Base Compensation Ranges: $58.46/hr - $$73.08/hr*, Colorado Base Compensation Ranges: $52.62/hr - $65.81/hr*. Other states may vary.
