About the Role:     The Global Account Manager is a senior sales role responsible for building long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships with key customers. You will help identify opportunities, offer creative solutions, and leverage partnerships to move both organizations toward their strategic goals.  This person is expected to have an excellent understanding of agriculture and how it interweaves multiple industries.  They should be considered a creative problem-solver. Their focus is to become a trusted advisor by understanding the customer’s business initiatives and educating them on our unique business value.  Global Account Managers should have excellent leadership skills and business acumen to understand financial information as well as Planet’s operations and strategy. You should have strong communication and planning skills. It is a plus to have a technical understanding of the geo-spatial and remote sensing imagery industries. Above all else, share our passion and believe in Planet’s mission to see change and change the world.  Impact You’ll Own: Establish Unique Customer Business Value:  Align with executive business initiatives  Translates customer challenges and opportunities into business value  Position Planet as a trusted advisor  Account Team Leadership:  Build an effective business plan and execute upon the plan, Strategic Account Plans, opportunity reviews using MEDDPICC  Orchestrate and align resources across the Planet matrix  Communicate at all levels internally (and externally), including C-level  Drive Results:  Exceed ACV quota targets (renewal and new & expansion)  Forecast within (+/-) 10%  Effectively negotiate enterprise contracts What You Bring: 5-7(+) years of direct sales experience navigating complex sales cycles  Proven direct sales track record in quota carrying roles with large enterprises  Experience expanding existing accounts and building net new emerging use cases Software/SaaS experience/ data as a service is a plus  Industry experience in Agriculture, Commodities, CPG -Food Beverage, Supply chain “Challenger Mentality” capable of delivery “Thought Leadership” point of view  Local and international travel requirements  Understands how to work with channel partners including SI’s Familiar with sales methodologies and tools; MEDDPICC, Command of the Message, SFDC, Clari, LinkedIn Navigator, and ZoomInfo Benefits While Working at Planet: Comprehensive Health Plan Wellness program and onsite massages in specific offices Flexible Time Off Recognition Programs Commuter Benefits Learning and Tuition Reimbursement Parental Leave Offsites and Happy Hours Volunteering Benefits Compensation: The US base salary range for this full-time position at the commencement of employment is $88,500 - $145,000 .  Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives (commission, bonus and equity).
