While reporting to the Vice President, Cell Therapy Development, this position will contribute to the development and implementation of Cell Therapy Manufacturing processes. This role will be based in Emeryville, California How you’ll contribute:  Responsible for  DOE (Design of Experiment ), CAR T/TCR T cell therapy drugs process development (scale up, automation, and close system).  Improvement of process reliability, safety, cost-effectiveness, scalability, and compliance.   Generation of process models, author and review of detailed process flow diagrams (DPFD) - data summaries, analysis, presentations.      Must haves:    PhD with at least two years (or Masters with at least four years) of immunology and/or bioengineering industry experience in cell therapy process development Experience in cell therapy process development and establishing cell therapy manufacturing processes Demonstrated capability to conduct and document complex manufacturing processes and solid understanding of GMP and FDA guidelines Proven experience in the transfer of technologies/processes Familiarity with flow cytometry and other cell-based characterization assays (cytokine release and cytolytic assays)  Advanced proficiency/technical expertise w in using bioreactors, cell washers, closed harvest systems, and aseptic fill & finish systems Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills A solution and team-oriented mindset, the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and a drive to make an impact California Pay Transparency Disclosure: This position is classified as an  exempt salaried  position under the Federal Labor Standards Act.  The anticipated base salary range for this position will be $135,000 to $150,000.  You will also be eligible to receive equity, bonuses, and a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits depending on the position offered.
