About the role
As a leader on the Marketing team, you will own the revision and launch of the Pangea brand, and play a key role in defining what the world thinks about Pangea. You will do this by helping lay the strategic foundation of the Pangea brand positioning and voice, and subsequently champion the brand internally and through all external touchpoints. You will lead a team of creative designers, copywriters and agency resources to oversee the development of Pangea’s creative and copy assets. Finally, you will broadcast the fresh new Pangea brand to prospective customers both offline and online, including app/site UI.
The ideal candidate has launched brand building campaigns, effectively managed brand/creative marketers, and has an analytical mind to convey the value of brand to organizational growth. They will thrive in a fast-paced environment, have a roll up your sleeves attitude and an entrepreneurial spirit.
What you’ll be doing:
Synthesize key elements to define Pangea’s brand positioning, architecture, and voice: mission statement and values, customers’ needs, Pangea’s product offerings, and its competitive advantages
Conduct quantitative and qualitative research as needed to aid in the understanding and refinement of customers’ needs
Perform periodic research studies of competitors’ products, brand positioning, and marketing communications to understand Pangea’s competitive stance
Plan and effectively execute brand advertising via OOH, radio, TV and influencers, utilizing internal resources and external agencies
Closely communicate with Product and Operations leadership to proactively support newly launched products and partnerships
Present insights and an evolving brand vision to partners, stakeholders, and Pangea’s leadership team
Develop and assist in executing a creative learning agenda
Develop, inspire and build a team of designers, copywriters, translators and tightly manage their project pipeline and deliverables
Define innovative opportunities for positioning Pangea’s products and value proposition, as tied to the overall brand strategy
Lead the development of content and creative pieces
Internalize test results to continuously refine insights and ensure an always-on testing cycle that helps continuously improve marketing KPIs
Evangelize brand standards and develop usage guidelines and templates that support the business
Manage Pangea’s PR strategy & content
The ideal candidate will have:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a creative field
10+ years of experience managing brand development, research and creative work
Cross-cultural brand management experience
Prior success leading the development of new brand architecture from scratch
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interface with and lead Senior Executives to conclusions on what the brand should represent
Ability to elicit and evangelize customer insights, focus groups, competitive research and product positioning
Fluency in translating data and customer insights into actionable customer segmentation and recommendations related to brand, creative and copy improvement
Analytic mindset to convey value of brand development to organizational growth
Experience managing across Marketing & Product teams and influencing peers and leaders in the company.

Experience in the financial services industry and startup environment
Spanish language fluency
